Personal Branding Star of The Week: Samuel L. Jackson
This weeks star is a man who has redefined the terms of how good it is to be bad. What lies Between the miniscule gap of a terrible villain and a great hero is what makes our star such an unforgettable character on screen.
I couldn’t have written about anyone more authentic to his true self, and passion in life then Mr. Samuel L. Jackson.
What I like about Sam is, no matter what farfetched situation he gets into on screen, his characters always dominate the scene. I’m not a die hard fan of Mr. Jackson, but have serious respect for his work and philosophy on life.
He’s played in incredible cult classics like “Pulp Fiction” and debuted in “b” rated specialty movies like “Soul Men”. Analyzing the wide range of the movie genres he participates in, you get the feeling that this is a man who’s enjoying life, and not taking it too serious.
So here it is….
5 Amazing Traits of Samuel L. Jackson’s Personal Brand
1. He doesn’t reinvent himself for movie roles, he reinvents the character.
2. His passion for acting has more influence over his movie performance then money does.
3. He chooses the characters that are built around his natural talents.
4. He never gives a “B” performance.
5. He is self aware of what he clearly excels in, in life.
Here’s one more thing I like about Sam, he says what he’s thinking and not what you’d expect him to say. I didn’t add this trait to the top 5, but I honestly believe this is one of the reasons, he’s such a relatable character.
25,000 feet in the air on a 747 traveling roughly 500 miles per hour, you suddenly understand an imminent threat to your safety on this long scheduled flight, there are snakes everywhere! Now what you’re thinking at the moment you find this out, and what you choose to say orally will tend to be less than equal to the true emotions brought on by this event, but Sam doesn’t cut corners. Samuel L. Jackson comes on screen and says exactly what we’re thinking, no political correctness, no over analyzation, just exactly what we’re thinking.
“We’ve got to get these #$@#% snakes, off this #%@$ plane!!!!”
