Grow Up and Be Realistic!

by City Sylvester

Can you remember the first time someone told you to grow up? or told you to Be Realistic? Being a world explorer at 5 sounds cute, but at 30 people begin to feel embarrassed for you.

I don’t have the exact statistics, but it’s apparent “growing up” has killed quite a few of us.

The first time it never settles in, but over the years things that once had us in tears from laughing start to lose their punch, our imaginations that once ran wild now sit crippled in rusted wheelchairs, and without our skills and material possessions we feel empty.

Sometime in the future maybe we’ll look back at ourselves and try to see the human qualities in the robots we’ve become.

But instead of anticipating that day, why not enjoy life right now.

5 Ways to Revert the “Grow Up” Process and Be Unrealistic!

1. Realize it’s never to late to wear spinny hats.

2. Rick Roll Somebody. Click Here to be Rick Rolled.

3. Learn some new jokes and share them with some of your buds.

4. Spin around until you feel dizzy. Works great with the spinny hat.

5. Imagine something that would be almost impossible to accomplish and dream about making it work.

Today I challenge you to bring out your inner kid. Some of us will have to dig through mountains of  ”professionalism” to get them out, but I assure you they’re still there.

So what are you doing to feel like a kid today?

You gotta keep that inner child alive. Just remember: all things in moderation.

Sometimes we’re so focused on growing up and being mature that we forget to have fun.
