Everyone one of us has a unique story to tell, maybe not as engaging as the one’s we’ve read by our favorite authors, but each significant, full of invaluable lessons, and backbreaking obstacles.

Here’s a riddle for you: What is born and raised in the royal capital of Stockholm, Sweeden, lives in Muswell Hill UK for 8 years, and runs a marathon in 4 hours?

Are you stumped? Is your mind ready to cave in? If it is you probably haven’t met our guest for today Mr. Jorgen Sundberg.

What would you say makes you different from other personal branding consultants in the UK?

My focus is on the online side of personal branding, which is where I see a huge opportunity for people to reach out to their target audience quicker than ever through blogging, social media and other tools.

It’s a hard world today. How has building your own brand helped you crack into it?

The world is always hard, the question is how you deal with it! Building a brand is key to getting that new job, that promotion, that new client or that investment into your business.

I nurtured a brand at my previous company, then jumped ship to go solo. My brand had got to a level where it was strong enough on its own and attracting the right people, i.e. clients.

I’m trying to imagine Jorgen Sundberg as a freshman in college. What kind of crowd did you hang out with?

Ha-ha, I was the guy that was very excited to finally have flown the nest. I would go to as many parties as humanly possible – in those days quite a few per week. I was also active in student clubs (similar to fraternities I suppose) which was great for networking.

Reaching into the deepest part of you, describe your personality?

Helpful, calm and collected, analytical and very loyal – so that really fits the stereotype of your typical Swedish male!

(My favorite question) What do you fear the most?

“Nuclear war and carnies” – Austin Powers.

Seriously, I don’t have that many fears as I always think stuff will sort itself out and it always does. You can spend your days worrying about swine/avian/Spanish flu or you can get on with your life and enjoy the ride.

Any new exciting projects?  And if so, how can we help?

I started the Personal Branding Club London a few months back and it is thriving, you can help spread the word for that and check out my blog and drop me a comment – I promise to reply.

You’re definitely a personality worth keeping an eye on. You’ve done some amazing things to build your brand over this last past year,  just wishing you the best of luck, and thanks for sharing your story.

Thanks for the opportunity for the interview City, and keep up the good work!
