Self Development

This is where the real journey begins

Forget about the money and the time you’ll be gaining from ditching the 9 to 5. This is 100% more important. While many may be bold enough to escape the employee lifestyle and engage in starting their own business, most of these entrepreneurs will not succeed. Even with all the skills and knowledge given to them, most will still fail. You can use the analogy of an over weight person who can’t figure out how to lose weight, even with access to unlimited information on weight loss. So your business starts in you, and eventually grows into something that will later generate income.

Here are 10 steps to getting yourself ready for starting a business

1) Ask yourself if this is your passion

2) Envision where you want to go with it ultimately, and set up small goals with time limits

3) Find a mentor: someone you can work with closely with to show you how it’s done

4) Be aware of your fears and which ones are keeping you from your goals

5) Be Confident. If you don’t know how, Learn

6) Commit yourself to a scheduled time when you’ll work on your business

7) Exercise on a regular basis

8) Understand failing is knowing exactly what not to do

9) Self educate yourself on your business daily

10) Love your business during the best and worst of times
